Things are happening…

Comments on the proposal from Comodo?

Sounds OK to me, particularly the Section F extensions to enforce controlled issuance of certificates.

Ewen

16.5 is interesting. I assume this would be a one time process with occasional checks, as I don’t see how it could be maintained…

I haven’t read through the entire draft yet. My post was about MS’s Section F inclusion.

Apologies Ewen, I was reading through another document and it had captured my attention. I posted without thought.

sorry if i am posting in a old topic…

But i feel ashamed of myself for the avast evenglists and other people trolling and insulting COMODO users here…

I am also a CIS and Avast! user but I love both of the products…

Mellih,i sincerely ask apology…please apologize we avast users for the disrespect…please COMODO and Avast! please continue to deliver quality products…i Love you both!

This is very kind of you malwarekiller. I am sure those trolls are a minority and majority of Avast users are decent people like you.

thank you again!

Melih

Mellih, again from my deep hearts…apology :'(…this should stop…avast forum guys are annoying…This makes me angry…I respect mellih and his products…and also avast products…

BUT!! I am against all this flaming…these trollers dont understand…by doing all this they are spoiling avast name…in the Wht is DACS thread i saw Dch48 also flaming thread…So again mellih and avast company— Please continue to make quality products. And get rid of these senseless people

I am indian and i respect all who help me…and avast and comodo help me everyday with protection…so i respect you guys!

mellih should bring all this to Avast forum’s mod’s notice!

They are aware but obviously don’t maintain the same standards we do.

The ringmaster is not always responsible for the acts of the clowns.

The majority of Comodo users also.
In fact, there are a group of people that use avast! antivirus free and Comodo Firewall also free.
Trols aren’t welcome anywhere.

Tech, how about bringing all this shameful stuff from bob and other avast evanglists here to the notice of avast forum’s mod’s?? and have these trollers and flamers banned of the avast forums for good :)…they are staining the reputation of avast and its forums… :-[

Btw! tech is the member of avast forums  I have my friend true indian on your avast forums…i have informed him about these trolls and he has sent a PM about this to the forum Mod…hopefully we have these trollers taken care of…and banned for the good

@malwarekiller,

You acknowledged yourself, this is OLD news.
Everyone on both forums was aware at the time.

Calling for retrospective banning, for actions done elsewhere, kinda sells a bit like another agenda.
Just saying.

Bad

in anyway,i find this shameful…I am surprised by this dog type behaviour of avast evanglists…SHAME ON YOU dogs!!! :-TD :-TD :-TD :-TD :-TD

@ malwarekiller,

Less subtly. Stop. Let it go.

Avast is no more responsible for the actions of it’s members, than the man in the moon.

I/We can and do read and participate on other forums.
So I do have context, and neither this forum nor this thread will be a soapbox for your anti Avast sentiments.

Bad

PS. edited your last post to more accurately aim you’re ire.

We may not like the “dog” behaviour, but most of the time, it really is best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Ewen

Unless, of course, we’re talking about Cooper - AKA Batdog - the texting canine!!

I can’t help but say “I told you so” to this information just released.

You may now once again attack me for not jumping on the Comodo bandwagon.

Dont you love internet journalism` copy, paste, add more ■■■■ do not check the facts, press publish

Read the original blog that caused all this and how its changed (corrected misinformation)…then come back and we can talk about it…oh btw…not a single use case of a scenerio and how it affects the user…how about you Bob, why dont you give us a usecase of how this will affect the user? No? You cant find it? I wonder why  because a self signed cert or a dv cert both give you encryption…go figure…

Some more information. (Not from me, I’m simply passing it along.)

I will ad that it’s not a program I’ve ever installed nor do I intend to.
You may form your own opinions.

You could also have found that Comodo is not the only company using a man in the middle technique to be used to filter https traffic. Melih gathered a partial list of well known others in HTTPS Proxy……the insight…what you didn’t know

Ok then, who might be using this method in their products?

Well, here is a list of some of these kind of certificates we found (there are hundreds of unique ones we found…)
