Comodo stops monitoring network traffics when VPN disconnects

Hi all, here are the steps:

  1. connect to the Internet (via PPOE);

  2. connect to a VPN;

  3. disconnect from the VPN, but the Internet connection remains;

  4. now all network traffics are no longer under Comodo Firewall’s supervision — as shown by Comodo Firewall, the inbound and outbound connections are always 0, even if you are actually viewing web pages or downloading big files.

so, is this a security leak or something? in such a situation, am I completely exposed to network attacks?

My OS is Windows XP SP3, using the system build-in method to connect to the Internet and VPN, no 3rd party VPN clients.
