I have Word 2003 installed with the compatibility pack to open .docx. After updating from .2976 it no longer can open them (“Error opening the file”). This has happened before. Previously I uninstalled the new version of CFP and reinstalled .2976 to correct this. This time that has not helped. This is extremely annoying. I would like to know how to either configure CFP to not block the compatibility pack or how to completely remove CFP in order to cleanly reinstall .2976.
