COMODO Online Storage 2.0.3 BETA4 Released!

Hello,

We are happy to announce that COMODO Online Storage 2.0.3 BETA4 was released!!!

What’s new:

  • sharing folders in COS website. Sharing/unsharing buttons were moved to left panel
  • SDK for Comodo Online Storage to manage account & files. This is for developers who want to write their own application. This is a web API, so it’s OS-independent. Documentation is available here.
    Windows developers can also use WinAPI functions to manage files in COS, if COS drive is mounted.
  • All strings are translated in all languages except logging strings and some strings in setup. You can help us improve existing translations here

What’s fixed:

  • Online Storage synchronization removed if uninstalling CB
  • other minor issues

Known issues:

  • On some operating systems, after restart, the Drop Zone doesn’t remember its last known position on screen;
  • In some cases, the first upload for files\folder takes some extra time before initiating;
  • Some issues related to logging in for the first time;
  • Sometimes files/folders are not automatically deleted from the Online Storage drive after the upload is cancelled;
  • Sometimes the Drop Zone needs to be disabled and then enabled in order to start;
  • System tray balloon error messages not showing up on Windows XP;
  • Sometimes the application tries to auto-resume already finished or cancelled files/folders uploads;
  • On some operating systems, the COS drive and the COS Service don’t initialize properly after the installation;
  • On some operating systems, right-clicking on the Drop Zone minimized to taskbar causes it do dissappear and not reappear and initialize on the next drag operation;

Melih

I’ve just updated to this Beta. Looks ok so far, thanks!

Duh, this works pretty well on my Win7, too! I’ve tried out the share option as well, here’s an example link guys: https://server.backup.comodo.com/json/direct/default/Rózika%20rohan.jpg?key=68e20fcd-a4c5-4ef8-9d4e-dd77497f7c82 (picture about my running dog :)).

I wonder if there should be an option to copy url encoded link, e.g. the above link looks like the following when i paste the link: https://server.backup.comodo.com/json/direct/default/Rózika rohan.jpg?key=68e20fcd-a4c5-4ef8-9d4e-dd77497f7c82 (so the link is broken at white space /i either have to replace white space with ‘%20’ or i have to use the URL tag)

Nice job :-TU

EDIT:

My dog’s picture shared link ) Seems the forum hates my Hungarian charset… :frowning:
