comodo major program update

The last major program update about a week ago seems to have installed geek buddy whether you wanted it or not , since this update all my pc’s are running slower , browsers take longer to load (avant was instant now even that has slowed) , i have comodo internet security on 5 xp pro pc’s , all was fine till the update , anyway to delete geek buddy without a total re-install ??

I re-installed it , unticked geek buddy (as it slows my pc down and if you cant remove a virus yourself you shouldn’t be on the net ) and its automatically installed geek (gonk) buddy and i dont want the ■■■■ , can anyone at comodo give us the option back , lol.

We would very much appreciate it if you would edit your first post to create an issue report in line with the bug forum guidelines and format here. You can copy and paste the format from this topic.

To understand the reasons why we ask you to follow these guidelines please see below.

WHY WE ASK YOU TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES
Bugs/issues can be impossible or very time consuming to fix if developers don’t have enough information to reproduce them. Since CIS is free, development time is limited. So if you want your issue fixed, please use the format below to describe it.

To avoid clutter, issues not described in the format below your post will not be moved to the ‘moderator verified’ issues topic. This means that the developers may not look at it.

Best wishes and many thanks in anticipation

All i did was update to the latest program release , it however installs geek buddy whether you want it or not as the splash screen is shown on re-boot , i dont want geek buddy , the previous versions had the option not to install geek buddy , i stopped installing it when it caused problems for me and others that i know use comodo , it slows down the loading of any browser , i checked this last night by trying mcafee (although its rubbish) and the browsers all loaded fine , did the same on another pc with kaspersky excactly the same result , all that needs fixing is the option not to install geek buddy , the latest update does not give you any choice and i was under the impression that thats what its all about , choice , i might try installing the firewall alone and updating then the anti virus and updating see if that will work .

Since you posted this on the bug reporting sub-forum, your post must meet the guidelines posted above.

Thank you

Unfortunately we do need this issue to be reported in the full right format, and with all the information we have asked for, if we are to forward it to verified issues.

For the moment I am going to move it to the Orphaned/Resolved child board. If you do edit your post to create a complete issue report in standard format, and PM an active mod, we will of course consider moving it to verified reports.

The devs only look at the Orphaned/Resolved board if they have time, so please do edit the post and PM an active mod if you want it fixed.
