COMODO livePCsupport™ Service 4.0 BETA

teamviewr lifetime license for businesses minimum $750, go to my pc for 50 computers is 5,000 per year

Ammyy Admin is approximately $1800.00 for a perpetual license (unlimited seats (I think)).

Looks great. But i’am getting “Product: livePCsupport Client BETA – Installation failed”. Any idea? (vc++ installed on xp 32bit.)

Hi,

I am very interested about this problem.
Please share some print screens with us.
Also, which is your system root path?

The best thing in this scenario, its to have a portable version for 1 quick session support.

COMODO livePCsupport its actually to help inexperienced PC/software users in their troubleshooting.
With an client application that needs to be installed is quite annoying, since in some cases we even have to explain the user by phone how to download, install, etc. That could take a lot with this type of users.
At least thats what happened with Comodo Unite.

Wouldnt be better to have a portable version in the client side, so they can just download and execute at once?
Would save precious time and the “geekbuddy” can just address the attention to the problem immediately in only a couple of minutes.

so what is going to happen to comodo unite? its the remote desktop feature going to removed since LPS has it now?

LoginPro is the “Remote Access” product that is about to be launched.
LPS v4 is a “Remote Support” product (that has Remote access as part of it)

thanks for the clarification, one more question, is the remote access engine the same engine in both products.

I doubt it, since LogInPro is web-based.

they share some components…but LoginPro has more features/engines relating to “remote access” and LPS has more features/engines for “Remote support”…

sounds interesting ill definitely test out both releases

thanks

PS: now if we could get some info on ccav i would be happy

Hi,

As I said in announcement, the remote desktop protocol is VNC based and it uses one of the best encoders: VNC Tight Encoder - Comparison Results

Hi,

This is a known issue in the Beta version and it will be definitely fixed in the final release.

imparatore:

The problem is triggered by the fact that the operating system (Windows) is installed on a different partition than C:, in your case, E:\ .

Please make sure you have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) installed on your PC: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/1/1/1116b75a-9ec3-481a-a3c8-1777b5381140/vcredist_x86.exe or that the installation isn’t corrupted.

Thank you both for reporting this issue.

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for posting the above.

I’ve uninstalled and then re-installed the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) but am still getting the error / Installation failed, so looks like I will have to wait untill the next release :frowning:

If I can forward any other information to assist, please let me know.
