After seeing postings here about anti virus problems and User Account Control in Vista conflicting with this version this is what I had to do for updates and the latest version to work without problems.
-
Disable Web Shield Component in AVG Anti Virus.
-
Disable Resident Shield Component in AVG Anti Virus.
-
Disable User Account Control at Control Panel User Accounts in Vista.
-
Restart System.
-
Update Internet Security to latest version.
-
Restart System when asked.
-
Enable AVG Components and User Account Control again.
-
Restart System when asked. CIS now runs fine.
Bit long and complicated but solves the problems with updates and other programs running. Spybot, Tea Timer, AdAware, BOClean, Safe Surf, I Vault, Launch Pad, Secunia PSI, & Windows Defender plus all apps now run fine.
