What about hardware-assisted virtualization? Does it also rely on these hooks and is defunct now?

Also it would be nice if you could comment is there any negative impact to the overall security level? Any mitigating factors?

Hi JCE,In brief, with recent Microsoft Updates, in all relevant OS, Microsoft doesn’t recommend certain hooks and even if you apply, they are void and won’t work.
So there are OS limitations.

I have couple of Errors in EV:

• Fail download telemetry config (hr=0x80070002)
• Error FTP connection, host: usfftp.security.comodo.com, code: 2efd
• Error FTP connection, host: usfftp.security.comodo.com, code: 2ee2

1st doesn’t affect as it has fallback archived file while other two are being worked out on back-end server side.

As you know by default, we promise 100% protection and HIPS is disabled by default. Like mentioned earlier, if there are any threats, which can bypass default settings, we can look into.

We already have the Post your unfixed FP’s here (only after 2 days) 2016 - 2017 -2018 topic for this purpose in case those are false positives.

I am certain Comodo is watching this type of performance targets and that it has Comodo’s continuous attention.
