When installing new software and popup box is displayed asking to block or not block and an option to run sandbox and make a system restore point.
I am not sure the sandbox actually runs a program sandboxed and when electing to make a system restore this also in not working ! There are no new restore points shown when I use ■■■■ Cleaner from Piriform to view the them.
I would like some help in resolving this problem please.

What is your problem? I am a bit confused here.
When you get an alert when installing a program you can choose to sandbox or give the installer the needed unlimited rights. When choosing the sandbox option the installer will run with limited rights and the program may or may not install correctly.
Once you start the application sepending on whether CIS and the cloud know it it may or may not get run sandboxed.
I am not immediately convinced that the loss of system restore points is related to CIS. Do the D+ logs give a hint here? Can you post a screenshot of the D+ logs. They are under View Defense + Events.
Thank you EricJH for taking time to look at my problem.
Re Sandbox. The problem here is I am not sure if sandbox is running when I try and install a program to run in it. with the program Sanboxie one gets a Yellow border around the outside of the program window. I just want to know what to look for to confirm the program I am running sandboxed in Comodo is actually sandboxed.
As for the D+logs I have run a report and attached the file in zip format. I hope this is what you requested.
Thank you for your time.

To see if a program run sandboxed it is easiest to look in View Active Process in D+.
I checked the logs and did not see leads that suggest CIS is interfering with System Restore.
Thank you for this information. As for the System Restore I may have not explained my question correctly, CIS does not interfere with System restore, my problem is when I install a program and CIS offers to make a system restore point via the popup window in the bottom right corner and I tick the option to create a System Restore point before installing any software No System Restore point is created ! if it is, it is not shown in the list of restore points in the Select a Restore Point to restore to.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for explaining the problem with System Restore in more detail. It is clear to me.
May be we are looking at a bug here. Can you tell us what version of CIS you are using on what Windows version and if you use the firewall only or the suite? What other security programs do you have installed and which ones are running in the background?
Is this also happening to anybody else?
Hi The version of CIS is 5.9.22165.2197. My windows is Windows 7 Home Premium version 6.1.7601 Service pack 1 Build 7601 and all updates as of 30/01/2012. Windows Firewall if off and no other security software working in the background.
If you have the time and energy please consider filing a bug report in the Bug Reports - CIS board following the format as described in FORMAT & GUIDE - just COPY/PASTE it!.
Reporting of bugs is strictly moderated to make sure Comodo gets clear bug reports. So, please make sure you closely follow protocol. That way your report will be seen by Comodo staff.
