Thanks, I’ll install it tomorrow after updating to Windows 10 TP Build 10049 since that will break my CIS installation anyway, no point in updating now if I’d have to re-install it tomorrow anyway.

Also, could you tell use which Windows 10 TP build this version of CIS is supposed to be compatible with? 9926? 10041? 10049? All of them? I assume future Windows 10 TP builds may or may not work with CIS, no guarantees?

is that possible to remove the upgrade button without upgrading the internet security to the pro version?

Can I run Google chrome x64 bit in Comodo sandbox now? If not I’ll wait until the next release :frowning:

Installed on two machines and running well. I see they’ve added Viruscope (with a timer) to the SysTray menu. Still no timer for HIPS though. >:(

I did a clean install of 8.2 and it tells me there is a program update. When I check the Tasks logs it says old build is 4508 and new build is 4508. This on Win 8.1 on my netbook. Has anybody experienced this?

Edit. I let it download the program update and install it. In the progress logging I saw components of KillSwitch and Autoruns passing by. When I opened KillSwitch I did not need to download it anymore like before.

It seems that these two bugs are fixed:
Some files are treated as trusted though they are user-defined as unrecognized
User-defined file rating doesn’t work when the path contains symbol ’
Congratulations!

But other security problems are still actual.

LNK-file can execute any program with trusted installer's privileges

It is not fixed! (or rather not completely)

There are 3 different ways to grant trusted installer’s privileges to any unknown malware. Only execute the LNK-file!
These methods are described in my reports and in comments to them:

#1. Erroneous inheritance in case of multiple commands
(See my comment about CIS 8.2 beta. It applies to the version 8.2.0.4508 too.)

#2. Unknown file automatically trusted when it replaces a trusted one

#3. Some portable internet browsers are granted as trusted installers

Comodo Firewal can be bypassed by this method as before.

Thanks! I’ll install and confirm on the bug report. Hopefully this release is far better than the previous one.

Comodo seems to be adding new file groups with every release, hopefully they will soon cover all of there bases.
