I think that’s a little too simple. Of course the WD runs smoothly with windows and it has developed very well, AV-test 100%.

But Comodo and Defender go different ways to protect a PC. Version 6914 is the first time I have had problems with Comodo and it will certainly be solved by the Comodo team. And Comodo offers more than the defender. To say all that, is not here the place.
With 6828 no problems, everything is fine as far as my PC is concerned.

But you’re right, if you don’t want any problems, better choose Defender or other software. On the other hand, I think the majority of users here will stay with comodo.

You have to actually go through with the update process for the view logs link to be available, it will list the exact files that where downloaded and installed.

I didn’t get update prompts. The prompt will show if a binary needs to be updated without a version update for the program. Can you run the update and see it is updating? When the update is done could you check logs by clicking on the View logs link in the lower right corner? You need to do that within 15s. If you miss it you won’t be able to see what was updated anymore.

I ran a diagnostic check in CIS, rebooted the machine and no longer get the update popups.

The diagnostic did procude a log and dump of cis.exe. PM me if you want it.

Hi, my version still be 6882 no update alert. I think comodo program upgrade is broken.
The Gekbuddy support has told me i need unistall and install the latest version and check for new version every month. Is this a really good support? I don’t think so i not trust much GekBuddy support.

It’s not broken. Comodo has not put 6914 ag the update server.

It is an understandable and reassuring advice given that you are an anxious and insecure user. But I advice to have the program check every day rather than check yourself once a month.

For now wait for the next release since this build has instabilities. And in general let the program updater inform you when a new build is available. Comodo always will release a build first to the forums. Once it is shown to be stable enough Comodo will release it to the wider audience through the program updater. It’s up to you if you want to wait until Comodo releases a build through to the updater or get the latest one through the forums.

On a sidenote. Comodo has not even provided 6882 to the updater. My netbook is still on 6818.

Please start a topic in the Help section. It needs a detailed answer that is beyond the scope of the release topic.

The answers will boil down to having to explain the nature of Blocked Applications function and that and why it is not thought through and rather useless. I think it should be removed from the UI: it needlessly creates confusion and uncertainty.

Comodo what has happened, have production standards slipped or something? I have been using Comodo Interent Security Premium since the XP era, it was always the first action with any clean install after opening Interenet Explorer, even before I downloaded another browser. I have never had any issues or complaints, your product just worked, which is the best best compliment that I could give.

But, I cannot install the latest version. It keeps crashing my computer, freezing the Windows user interface and will not unistall properly. What has gone wrong?? I am hanging on for a solution, but I also need protection. is there a soltion to this problem??

Install 6882 for now. The problem with cavwp.exe crashing which is causing those freezes is being worked on.

Set how you were advised by 6882. I have Windows 10 1909 (449) Pro x 64 works fine. The response of the system is instant. In the meantime, I’m waiting for corrections of version 6914.
