Hi

We found the cause of this issue.
To go around the problem just replace version.ini file with the file I attached.
This will be fixed in an update.

Thanks

Thanks Emanuel… it works fine.

im having the same problem as this fella. had a sys crash when i opend comodo and tryd a restore it comes up with a there was a error in the program and shows that its never been run. the files are still on the backup drive but wont restore. shows a cbudbus.sys is dammaged error in the log. plz help.

Hi

If you had a system crash please check \Windows\Minidump directory for dumps.
We are interested in analyzing the crash dump file.
As for the crash when staring up CBU.exe, when this crash occurs go to task manager → processes → select cbu.exe → right click → choose “Create Dump file”.
If you have Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, did you try replacing version ini file with the one I posted earlier?

Thanks
