Right now I’m running CFW v5.12, in proactive state. Is the containment in the newer version better? If so, how is it better? I like the older version because it uses less resources.

Many vulnerabilities were fixed, more control on what gets auto-contained using containment rules, and more restrictions to contained applications are applied compared to version 5.
