comodo firewall yellow after av install/uninstall

Have used this for many months without issue, tried to add comodo anti-vi and win 7 didnt like it - so i uninstalled it. now instead of a active red flag, its yellow in the task bar and asks for everthing each time i try to go somewhere. perhaps a new install is needed…?
also, why isnt the anti-virus software showing up anywhere, it appears to have downloaded it as well, or maybe im wrong? Many thanks for a good product.

Try running Diagnostics and see if that can fix it.

Eric thanks for reply.
Yeah i did that in fact a few times, it just does nothing really. If I recall, it asked for a reboot but to no avail boo hoo. Im thinkin Im going to call it in as posts, and chats didnt help.
maybe, you can affirm the number i have 877 712 1309? are they available weekends also?? again thanks will keep trying, for now i disabled it, too many notices LOL rick

Hi rickart,
Did you try to add the AV through Windows Add/Remove programs.
If you have the Comodo FW installed, to add the AV go to Add/Remove programs, Comodo, Next, Change and tick both the FW & AV then proceed.
If you have tried doing a separate install a new Removal/Install maybe required.

Hope it works out for you.

ok…did as u said captain - all that showed was geek buddy, so i uninstalled it. Rebooted. still getting defense alerts!!! ? and a yellow icon for fw hmmm.
ok so i re-installed, then, comodo asks for reboots 4 times i did 3 and figured it is on a roll, so i leave it alone for now im disabling the fw. too many alerts, constant and redundant.

do i yet have your av then in background??? (it never did show itself anywhere) weird mojo.

im sorry the head admin had to get involved, im sure u r quite busy, but i do appreaciate it…thanks again.
unless theres something else -
i will call sometime next week, perhaps a live verbal will help…rick

Hi Rick,
It sounds to me as if you may have some failed uninstalls.
I would uninstall it the conventional way and then following the instructions run this Unofficial Comodo Uninstaller making certain to reboot before attempting to reinstall.
Download CIS installers here.
