Comodo Firewall Unknown Blank Fantom Alert Popup

Comodo Firewall Unknown Blank Fantom Alert Popup

Sometimes i’ve that kind of alert (most of the time comodo freeze but this time ive been able to screenshot the alert and also i choose Deny/Remember but… I haven’t find any new entry in rules…

What is scary it’s that the default answer is to allow it ! I don’t understand why the default option is to allow when the user is away… So dangerous!

Wow…I’ve never seen anything like this. :THNK

I have, but not on my comptuer ^_^:

Thanks for your suggestion but it may be something different…

I’ve also an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX BUT NVIEW was disabled and I still have times to times this alert even if I’m not doing anything special (even away from the computer) !

Maybe another guilty in my case?

I’ve had this problem before, A restart fixed the problem. Hope this helps you… But you probably have already rebooted…

yes this is a recurrent trouble…

i’ve also popup saying comodo has crashed and need to close blahblah but no memory dump is generated and the firewall seems to remain operational and does not close…

i know the cause!!! I have reported it with its cause here :: https://forums.comodo.com/firewall_bugs/resize_windows_popup_blank_firewall_alert-t48305.0.html

if you look at what i said, this phantom alert popup is only moving or resizing a window. it is an error with CIS, it is not an actual firewall issue (nothing is communicating). neither allow nor deny does anything as it isn’t traffic it sees. PLEASE someone reply to this – the error has not improved with any further updates.

Replied in the other post…

And it’s default DENIED if the alert times out, it will NEVER allow alert if you time out or don’t respond on purpose…

Ronny : could u please analyze those BSOD ASAP ? i think those are MAJORS bugs and ive reported them so many times and still get no feedback from the Comodo’s crew !

Please be patient. Ronny is a moderator AND a volunteer. He is not Comodo staff and is not paid to do BSOD analyses.

You already posted the dumps in your own topic as well as in the mandatory BSODs: Please add your minidump files here topic.

Please refrain from cross posting. It is now in the devs hands; they do read the bug boards yet they will usually not comment unless they need additional information. We simply suffer in silence after a bug report and hope for the best. 88)
