I’m using CFP 2.4, and I notice that it seems to discard rules.
On today, while setting rules for emule, I saw this very well.
I use an additional application bar (Stardock Objectdock) that shows running applications, too.
I set tcp and udp rules for emule, than I launched emule via objectbar: cfp asked me to allow or deny a dns packet from emule to objectdoc, I checked “remember this answer” and clicked allow. Suddenly I opened again emule rules and I noticed they were be overwritten when I clicked on allow and remember in the alert popup. What’s going on?
Backing to objectdoc, firewall shows a lot of alerts from and to this process, always for dns(53) packet. I tryed to set objectdock as trusted application, to set rules that opened all ports and addresses for the program, but alerts still appear anytime I start an application. How can I solve this issue?
Finally, sometimes CFP loads the cpu to 100% without a reason, I have to shut it down and reload. Can I solve this problem, too?
I tryed to install CFP 3 beta for Win XP, a complete disaster…
yes, i think there are lot problems with rules.
i have the same problems.
100% of cpu usage. that has with logging to do.
there is a good thread which describes the problem and offers a solution
just search for cpf.exe 100% cpu usage…
