I have been using Comodo Firewall Pro for several months now having migrated across from Norton Internet Security and until now have been very happy with its performance. I was using version 22.214.171.1248 and everything worked fine but are continually receiving nags about an update that was available I downloaded and installed version 126.96.36.1999 . Now my problems have started - I cannot view PDF files via my browser nor can I use Rocketdock, amongst many others whilst defence+ is enabled. What is going on with the program? I have the browser, Adobe Acrobat and Rocketdock - in fact all my usual programs listed as safe applications but Defence+ keeps stopping them working properly. I turn Defence + off and all the programs work as expected. My system is completely clean - no viruses, malware, spyware or whatever ware. I’ve scanned the system using three separate virus scanners, one installed on my PC and two online scanners and have also used three different spyware/malware scanners - so I know there’s nothing wrong with my PC. The problem is with the firewall software - any ideas as to how I rectify this problem?
Did you do an over the top install or a complete clean uninstall and reinstall? Your better off using REvo Uninstaller in advanced mode then install the new version.
It was an over the top install, I shall try un-installing and re-install fresh.
