Why is the control panel opening up on desktop on boot up?
It didn’t use to do this. And I can’t find a setting to turn it off.
I searched the forums to no avail on this issue.
Any help would be appreciated

Have you checked msconfig?
Sorry msconfig is not the issue. I want comodo to startup in system tray. But when mine starts it also opens the control panel on to the desktop and I have to close it. This did not use to happen with the older version.
Ok since nobody answered me here then where would I go to get this issue resolved then?
Any help is appreciated.
It is annoying to have the Control Panel open up on desktop everytime I reboot.
Use regedit and look for the following entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
The entry for Comodo Firewall Pro should be:
“C:\Program Files\COMODO\Firewall\cfp.exe” -s
The -s at the end is important I think.

Yes I have the -s flag are you saying to remove it?
No the -s is correct. Perhaps if you install the newly released version it might fix the problem. Download the new version, uninstall the old one and run a registry cleaner to make sure all traces are gone and then install the new version:
