Can you tell us a bit more about your system? What OS are you on and do you have other security programs running in the background? Are you running Comodo Firewall or Comodo Internet Security?
Can you check in Device Manager that your TP Link USB driver is present and active?
hi and thanks for reply , I am using win8 pro x64 , 4gb of ram , my wireless adapter is tp link tl-wn727n. I am using avast free antivirus …
the problem occurs after installing comodo free firewall , my tplink software stop to start , and I cannot get any internet connection, so I removed to comodo firewall but the problem still there , so I went back and I installed the firewall again , but still no connection , my wireless usb unable to see any present connection at all…
thanks
Avast Free 8 Comodo FW 6 had issues together.
I do not know whether or not corrected.
You need to turn off the defender OS. Win 8.
I always put the first Comodo FW and second Avast.
Avast Free 8 I used with Comodo FW 5.12. there is no problem. (Win 7).
Thank.
hi there , I think not all the firewalls are compatible with windows 8 yet , I managed to install online armor free firewall , and I got the same problem ,so I removed all the firewall softwares from my system , then I reinstalled the wireless usb driver , and I solved the problem , but I am unable to use any firewall except win8 built in firewall…
thanks…
May be Avast is the common denominator. See what happens when you disable the behaviour shield and web shield of Avast.
hi and thanks ,
i disabled avast antivirus , but the problem persist , i think comodo firewall is overwriting windows firewall in some ways , i am not sure , ill try to uninstall avast and reinstall comodo to see what will happens…
thanks
Keep us posted. Please make sure that there are no left overs of previously uninstalled security programs around. Not all uninstallers do a proper job. Left over applications, drivers or services can cause all sort of “interesting effects”.
Try using removal tools for those programs to remove them. Here is a list of removal tools for common av programs: ESET Knowledgebase .
If you’re using the Comodo Firewall software, you should disable the native Windows firewall.
I suggest you uninstall Comodo Firewall, then make a working internet connection with the tplink wn727n wireless usb adapter. Once you have a working internet connection, THEN install the Comodo Firewall so that it can detect the all the components of a working network setup and install accordingly.
hi.
i managed to makes everything working fine by doing the following:
1-go to tp_link homepage and download the latest sotware for your product
2-uninstall the wirless usb drivers and the software that came along with it
3-uninstall comodo firewall
4-reboot
5-install comodo firewall
6-install the new wireless usb adapter driver…
thats will makes everything work just fine
thanks again for your support,
