comodo firewall is causing windows 7 bsod and restart

i recently installed the latest version of comodo firewall on windows 7 ultimate 32bit with all of the latest windows updates.

after a few days the computer began restarting after a BSOD occurred which was triggered by comodo (i can’t recall the actual file name(s) noted in the BSOD) and this has been happening continuously since then.

i’ve read through a number of forum posts related to comodo firewall causing issues with windows 7 and most of them have uninstalled comodo firewall and the BSODs went away.

as far as i know comodo firewall does work properly for others on windows 7 and i really want to get it working properly on my computer since it’s my firewall of choice.

can anyone tell me what i can do to try resolving this issue?

any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Could you tell us what version of CIS you have. What other security software did you have?

Disable windows firewall if it’s active. if you have an other AV (antivirus) disable the realtime protection or uninstall if you intend to you CIS.

Hi sorry to hear you are experiencing BSOD with CIS!

Can you please verify the \Windows\Minidumps folder to see if there are minidumps located there?
It would help the dev’s very much if you could attach such a crash to the bug post.
(preferably zipped before uploaded as the forum doesn’t accept .dmp).

Can you also please read this post here and change your initial post to reflect the requested format?

Unfortunately we do need this issue to be reported in the full right format, and with all the information we have asked for, if we are to forward it to verified issues.

For the moment I am going to move it to the Orphaned/Resolved child board. If you do edit your post to create a complete issue report in standard format, and PM an active mod, we will of course consider moving it to verified reports.

The devs only look at the Orphaned/Resolved board if they have time, so please do edit the post and PM an active mod if you want it fixed.
