comodo firewall interfering with windows update[Resolved]

hey,
i have a problem using windows update ever since i installed comodo fiirewall i can’t download any updates it used to work fine before i got the firewall i get an error message i don’t know wich one but i will try windows update again and post back the error i get

You probably have application rules that are blocking services.exe. Check your application rules and post back.

If m0ng0d’s advice doesn’t work, then please allow me to point you towards this web page. It gives you plenty of reasons why this error can happen and what you can do about it.

I found it, because I also had a WU error for months… and I just couldn’t fix it. This was way before I’d even heard of COMODO. Eventually, I found a tool that could fix it. Dial-a-fix. It fixes lots of other stuff as well, which I’ve not used (yet). But, the WU fix did work for me. Anyway you can find that here. I used the latest beta. But, I would recommend that you read the web page I gave you first. Use the Dial-a-fix as a last result.

BTW You’ll find the actual WU error in a text log file called WindowsUpdate.log under your WINDOWS directory.

I had the same problem. I have now installed the beta version of comodo firewall and windows update works fine!

opk the problem has been fixed i downloaded the beta version and now windows update works
