Comodo Firewall Global Rules a simple question

Will Global Rule Will Over wright Any rule in comodo Firewall

If i have blocked svcost.exe with Comodo firewall , then its for sure that i will lose Internet Connectivity and
svcost.exe will not be allowed to send or to receive any signal [ i dont know computer related terms much ]
Well , if there are ips and host names which are required to for my internet connectivity like DHCP server,DNS server ,and other stuff are set to be allowed In comodo global rules , then is it possible that even if i blocked svcost.exe
svcost.exe is able to connect to dhcp ,dns server , or it will block all connection for svcost.exe

thanks for reading and sorry for bad English .

Hi, make sure if the process name is svchost.exe or svcost.exe.
There are a lotta trojans which uses the name similar to svchost.exe to infect your computer.

You can set rules to allow a process on a particular IP to a particular ip only using the ports you mention.
This setting can be found under
Firewall-> Network Security policy-> Add button.
This will help you define the ports IPs and the process and create a rule for that.

yes , i am sorry its svcost.exe as you said .
But my question is still unanswered ,

Yes, it will block any kind of connections to svchost.exe if you block it, so you can not use it for DNS/DHCP.

So when you block svchost.exe go to network security policy and double click on the blocked process and
use edit and use a custom policy and specify ports/ips. In that way you can use DNS/DHCP even when you have blocked svchost.exe

Thanks , i get my answer , it will block even those ips are in allow list in Global rules .
i will test this by doing an experiment .
Hence it is clear that . ::-- i have to create separate allow rules and block rules for for every application thanks for your answer
