Comodo Firewall disconnects Internet

So, I’ve been using Comodo Firewall for about two weeks. It’s a great firewall, considering it’s free.

I have two questions,

  1. I keep getting disconnected every once in a while. This is very inconvenient and happens when I’m on the computer… Anyone else with this problem or point me towards a solution?

  2. Can I block a specific IP address? I want to block that IP Address from in/out traffic.

Before this firewall, I was using Sygate, which was awesome, but it’s not free… I also found Sygate to slow down my Internet to about 20000 Kbps, now with Comodo, I’m getting upto 30000 Kbps, which is awesome! (I’m at college). Thanks in advance for replies.

G’day,

Glad to hear that your happy with CPF. It really is a great piece of software.

  1. Does your college allocate IP addresses dynamically, and if so, how often are the addresses renewed?

  2. You can block a specific IP address by creating a network monitor rule and specfying the IP. Make sure that you position the block rule ABOVE any other rule that would allow the traffic through.

Hope this helps,
