Comodo Firewall 5 freezes the system (Win7 SP1 64bit)

Hello

First thanks a lot to Comodo for the great work done so far. You’ve got the best firewall in the market and you offer it for free which I’m really grateful to you.

I think I found a incompatibility between the last Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 x64 (RTM version Build:7601.17514.101119-1850) & Comodo Firewall v5.3.176757_x64

Indeed when Comodo is on, I just have to launch Firefox v3.6.13 or v4.0b9, then connect to Facebook, send a message, type something then the computer freezes.
Same operation, but I turn off Comodo by killing the two processes in Task Manager, no freeze for hours.
FYI this issue is not happening only with Firefox: watching a movie then when I close the file it freezes, some operation in Windows Explorer… But the most frequent and easiest way to reproduce this problem is with Firefox.

So far I disabled Comodo, but if you can help I will really appreciate. Plus as I’m an early user of the Win7_SP1 this could be useful for you.
Thanks a lot in advance !

  • Liberkey v5

  • Windows Search on

  • I reinstalled Windows 2 times to be sure I didn’t do anything wrong

  • Some services are disabled

  • I did a Driver Verifier in Windows 7 (don’t know the perfect method, but I followed my friend google)

  • “Nothing” appears in the Event viewer of windows when the computer freezes

We would very much appreciate it if you would edit your first post to create an issue report in line with the bug forum guidelines and format here. You can copy and paste the format from this topic.

To understand the reasons why we ask you to follow these guidelines please see below.

WHY WE ASK YOU TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES
Bugs/issues can be impossible or very time consuming to fix if developers don’t have enough information to reproduce them. Since CIS is free, development time is limited. So if you want your issue fixed, please use the format below to describe it.

To avoid clutter, issues not described in the format below your post will not be moved to the ‘moderator verified’ issues topic. This means that the developers may not look at it.

Best wishes and many thanks in anticipation

Dennis

Hello
First, thank you support COMODO Firewall and give us the bug report.
I have read it and operate it as your explain.
But I can not make the bug reappear.
So please do something as follows:
Uninstall the COMODO Firewall and operate again whether the bug reappear.
Check your other software normally and whether clash with COMODO Firewall which you have installed.

Unfortunately we do need this issue to be reported in the full right format, and with all the information we have asked for, if we are to forward it to verified issues.

For the moment I am going to move it to the Orphaned/Resolved child board. If you do edit your post to create a complete issue report in standard format, and PM an active mod, we will of course consider moving it to verified reports.

The devs only look at the Orphaned/Resolved board if they have time, so please do edit the post and PM an active mod if you want it fixed.
