Downloading it now… very slow ._. 18 min left.

Edit: I’m now eating a sandwich waiting for it to finish downloading. nom nom nom

Edit 2: Finished… with the sandwich I mean.

Edit 3: Now finished with the download and installation, and as I thought the bug where everything is slow within the sandbox remains. Highlighting text is slow as if it is tracing the cursor from far behind, scrolling is slow… everything is slow!
Outside of the sandbox it feels like everything has a close to 0ms delay, within the sandbox it feels like everything has a ~1000ms delay or something.
Am I the only one who has this? https://forums.comodo.com/bug-reports-cd/comodo-dragonchrome-240-slow-in-cis-sandbox-t90536.0.html

…how much have you got running on your computer…
…might be time to take that long horrible journey into “all of” your Windows Services & find out what you can turn off - here’s a good guide…

This time, an update went smooth on my system with NVT ERP.
Good job, Comodo!
:-TU

It’s downloading very very slow for me as well. :S

For what reason? If you meant because of the downloads then I can assure you that I’ve got a good connection that isn’t slowed down by anything on my computer, it was just the dragon set up download that was very slow, I did a speed check while I was downloading too and I could get out 100Mb/s down and 10Mb/s up.
Or if you meant because Dragon is running slowly in the sandbox, then why would that have anything to do with the services since 23.4 works perfectly in the sandbox and 24.0, 24.1 and 24.2 works well outside of the sandbox but is slow like hell within the sandbox?

(:CLP) Update went smooth about 1 min. & Dragon ready to work for me .

Thanks for improvements. :-TU

Win 7 64 bit . internet speed - download 20 MB - upload about 1MB. Speedtest.net shows that

During the download Dragon running BBC News live ,opened 3 webpages . Opened Libre office .

…the reason I mean, is, because Windows, by default, has services set to run that a lot of people don’t need, but, MSoft cannot foresee what people are going to need, & don’t want anything to “not work”, so they have an average default config., which includes a lot of things “on” that a lot of people don’t need - example: “messenger” service, it’s a downright security risk - if you have a service that uses a little memory, a few cpu cycles, & a little connection bandwidth (WHEN IT “PHONES HOME” - WHICH I WON’T TOLERATE) then it’s not so bad, but, if you aren’t in tune /w/ all this, & there are several running that you don’t need, it can make a noticeable difference

Many thanks for update, ready to try this out again :-TU

Yeah I’m not going to go through my services and disable them, even if it is something that I don’t use, maybe there’s an application that uses that particular service?

…thats what BlackViper’s guide is for, to help you learn what that stuff is for & make your box run better & disabling is not the only option, there’s manual too - if you change your mind, go through the list & write them all down /w/ A or M or D, so you know where you started, & put the letter to what you change next to it, so if you break something you know what it is - it’s not a day long job - mine was a part-time, month"s"-long process, but it hauls ■■■ now for a 2g cpu /w/ 1g ram, & I have a way better understanding about how things work…

That’s the thing. I don’t want to, nor do I have time to read through all of those. And on a overclocked i5 3570k with 16GB ram and my OS installed on an SSD, I doubt I will experience that much of a difference.

its coming…with extra functionality and much much more powerful…

It will give you Faster Browsing Speed & Much More Improved Security without effecting your user experience…worth waiting for!

Always takes a minute or so for me to update as well. No biggie though . Don’t really notice anything different. But that’s good. I do not run in sandbox though. No much reason to do so and seems to be slow if I do .

…lucky duck…

I’m not a duck…

Thanks Melih on the PrivAlert information. :-TU

Thanks Comodo for the Dragon update. :-TU

Seems less buggy than last version. good job comodo.
