Hi,

I’m new here on the Forum, but I’ve been using Comodo products for a long time.
Let me skip all the praises, as you probably get tons of them regularly.

Until few weeks ago I used to be a Firefox user, but this browser was way too
slow and consumed too much of my system’s resources. NoScript was the only
thing making me stay with Mozilla, not anymore though.

I wasn’t quite happy with Chrome too, but as soon as I found out about
Dragon it seemed to me like a perfect choice.

Probably the best firewall on the market and now the Internet browser.
Rarely do I stick with multiple products of the same company, but yours
are top exceptions.

Anyway, I have only one request, if I may. I don’t know about the others,
but I would love to have an option to change the current look of Dragon,
just a little. I mean it would be great to be able to switch to the design
that was previously available in the version No.13.

I know it reminded Chrome a lot with the wrench icon on the right and no
eye icon on the upper left corner, but I found it as most suitable view.

Since I often open multiple tabs, both at home and work, having more
space (even visually) in the bookmarks bar means a lot to me.

Therefore, I have to ask. Would it be possible in later versions to at least
choose between two themes, where one would be the old type Comodo
with the “wrenched” settings icon and no eye in the corner?

I know it’s a small thing, but for now I don’t expect anything else.

No matter what you decide, I think your browser doesn’t have a better
alternative and I can’t see it coming soon.

Keep up the good work Comodo Team!

Lax, you can choose your favourite theme on Chrome web store.

Hey, thanks Siketa for a quick advice.

To be honest, I think I was checking that site
some days ago, but the only trouble I have
with Chrome theme add-ons is that they usually
contain those trapezoid tabs, while I enjoy
the Dragon tabs shape a lot more.

Anyway, I shall search through the site again,
in case there is a sample I seek.

Kind regards.

Thanks for the update :-TU.

That’s a quick update after Chrome’s. :-TU

Thank you for having made the inactive tab easily readable :-*

Trapezoid tabs are a preview of Chrome’s tabs, the themes don’t change the tab layout of Dragon’s tabs.

The icon still gets moved up when a theme is applied, although it’s more noticeable on Max Screen.
Themes override the icons and to me they look nasty, only the ones I have specified don’t get affected, but they are few, too lazy to go finding more, and people like variety.

So far, NOT good. I’ve had it crash twice on me already: once on Facebook and once on AZcentral.com’s message boards. >:(

Both times, the auto-correct window popped up for alleged spelling errors; when I hit “ESC” to make it go away and then resumed typing, Dragon totally crashed on me (with the “Would you like to restart?” dialog box), and after it reloaded, I had to type everything in all over again. >:( >:( >:( >:(

Please tell us what extensions (dragon://extensions) do you have installed?

I know a lot of people complained about not being able to see background tab text clearly. But i didn’t have that problem and to me this new white text is very ugly and too much in sight.

As you’ve now created 3 themes, is it possible to deliver these themes with Dragon, so people can choose the theme of their likings?

Indeed…expect us to be very quick with Chrome updates…then please DO EXPECT us to beat Chrome releases by releasing before them!

That would be wild… ;D

I hope that was sarcasm.

It’s great to release early before their stable but there’s a chance that some stuff just reserved for the stable channel to be missed, something that would be okay towards Dragon’s standards, not something that is bound to Chrome.

Either way, I am impressed with the up-keep and catching up with the latest, although some versions were skipped. Hey, you do what you have to do sometimes, sacrificing some versions to be up-to-date.

Its not so important, but i like the new Design, now it looks really like a Comodo Software and the Dragon-Eye is cool. but important is untill now it works very good here, no crashes or anything else, feels light and runs good and fast … good job guys!! :-TU :-TU :-TU

I only upgraded from 13.something now and I wasn’t expecting a UI change but, wow, I love it! It matches the CIS default theme and, with the eye menu, makes Dragon stand out more from Chrome and the Chrome-like browsers. Well done!

Maybe for CIS 5.5 but for new 5.8 somehow I doubt it…

^^ in 5.8 it is the black theme  … and i am agree, the new look of the dragon is great! Now it looks like Comodo and not like Google … :-TU

Huh? 5.8? I thought 5.5 was the latest. When I check for updates, it says I’m up to date…

Edit: Oh, I see from the CIS section of the forum that the automatic updates to 5.8 will start next week. I wonder why they skipped the numbers 5.6 and 5.7.
