comodo DNS

im sorry i dont know where to put this.

right…

im trying to download openoffice.org and when it takes me to the place to download it it blocks the site.
the site in question is mirrorservice.org.
is there any known problems with this site?

comodo siteinspector says mirrorservice.org is safe
Norton safe web says mirrorservice.org is safe
Mcafee siteadvisor says mirrorservice.org not checked yet but mcafee community says “Adware, spyware, or viruses” x (2)
Comodo DNS says the site is unsafe
Virustotal website = site clean

Mirrorservice.org is the UK Mirror Service provides a collection of mirrors of FTP, web and rsync sites of interest to academic users. The service is provided by the University of Kent’s School Of Computing.
IMHO the site in question is safe but scan any files that you download with your AV of choice or upload the file to virustotal. If you use comodo internet security sandbox the file in question.

I have no problem downloading open office try this link

http://download.openoffice.org/contribute.html?download=mirrorbrain&files/stable/3.3.0/OOo_3.3.0_Win_x86_install-wJRE_en-US.exe

That should get the job done for you I just downloaded to verify. I love open office!!!

Hello,

I noticed that on URLVoid, that it was once listed as Unclean by DNS-BH, but it is now detected as Clean.

There is now an OpenOffice alternative called LibreOffice, well it is made by some of the people that were formerly with the OpenOffice project I think, and it looks Very similar but it runs a little bit faster to me.

Good luck,
