Comodo DNS Question

Hello

I have a site that is located at http://gamesoverview.novahost.org ,however for some reason I can’t access it.
I am getting

"Sorry, “gamesoverview.novahost.org” does not exist or could not be found

The website you are looking for may be experiencing problems, is temporarily unavailable, or there was a typing error in the address.
Error: (DNS), click the back button to try another link."

Any ideas when the Comodo DNS will have the url in the database?

Thanks

Hello, I tried the URL that you have provided, but i have recieved the page.

Please go to start > programs > acc > command prompt

type in
ipconfig /renew {Hit enter}
then
ipconfig /flushdns {Hit Enter}

Did this solve your issue?

Jake

Nope, didnt work out.
Same issue. How long does it usually take for the DNS to propagate?

That is weird, Can you check your IP Configuration?
start > programs > acc > Command Prompts
ipconfig /all
Copy your DNS Settings and put them in your next reply;

Jake

I can’t access it either.
I tried with ChromePlus, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Comodo Dragon.

I’ll PM other mods to assist you further;

During this time, could you answer few questions
Is this the only site you can not view?

What happens when you disable the SecureDNS?
http://help.comodo.com/topic-72-1-155-1135-Windows-XP---Manually-Enabling-or-Disabling-Comodo-Secure-DNS-Service.html
Can you reach the website then?

Thanks for being patient

Jake

Have you tried Pinging the servers?

Open the command prompt and type ping gamesoverview.novahost.org

You should see something like this.

[attachment deleted by admin]

Well, I havent tried any of the above yet, however after loading the url multiple times, I do get on it.
But when I say multiple times, I am talking like 10 times or something

I removed the Comodo DNS and it works perfect.
What is the problem with the Comod DNS?

I’ll vouch for that solution, since that fixed it for me, too.

It did happen to show sometimes but just a few, with the DNS thing. :slight_smile:

yea, but wonder why such a problem

The Secure DNS servers answer (at least for me at this time)…

Same A record as the normal DNS servers, so all looks fine at the central servers, are you still having this issue?

I was able to, with DNS on.
Now to see if avguste was able to.

If you wish to test without having to change Network settings try this from command-box

nslookup

C:\>nslookup gamesoverview.novahost.org. 156.154.70.22
Server:  UnKnown
Address:  156.154.70.22

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    gamesoverview.novahost.org
Address:  216.245.205.35

just switched to the Comodo DNS and so far it works. Will see later this morning/today

Glad to hear it is working for you avguste :slight_smile:
