I know that with the stats you can prove anything, but sadly, this is the way the discussion go.
Or maybe I’m just not good enough to explain!
So fact sheets with good detection rates is an important tool to prove CIS as an excellent security product.

Unfortunately , they don’t understand how CIS works!.
The Comodo AV is an average AV in detection , but it’s only there in CIS for usability , u can simply turn it off and the “Default Deny architecture with Automatic Sandboxing” along with the d+ and the famous award winning firewall will perfectly protect u! :-TU
The problem is they think about CIS as a traditional AV (No detection = Infected PC ! ) , and it’s not.
In CIS ( No detection = still u r perfectly protected ! ) , that’s why CIS is superior in protection and malware prevention.
Maybe the Comodo AV doesn’t have the best detection in the world, but it is the best antivirus product on the market. If something isn’t detected by AV, Defence+ will caught it. Signatures doesn’t play key role in the world anymore.
:-TU @Twizzz I Wholeheartedly agree with your statement a gazillion percent.Why?. I have a handful of Pcs, and since i installed Cis on every one i have had several potentially nasty intrusions one a Tdss rootkit, and nothing got through.Previously with Avast and Avira, I have got infected on two occasions as neither could deal with the zero day malware in their present forms of next to useless behavior blockers and traditional signature Avs.
All this is all backed up by numerous tests by the Likes of Languy99 and others who have proven that Cis as a whole including the Av part lets nowt through. One day maybe, its inevitable, but knowing Comodo they will adapt and fix that bypass as it happens as well, as we should all know nothing is ever 100% in the security world. Malware writers will find a way as it in their interests, its about keeping ahead of them, and Cis gives me more confidence than any app i have ever used period!.
Last summer - after I had been infected while using an expensive AV - I started researching
free security software. I soon discovered that a HIPS based software was the best at protecting your
system. That lead me to the term ‘proactive’, which lead me to this website… http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge/results.php
If you scroll down you will see the results.
Needless to say, I installed Comodo.
The question isn’t which software can detect a malware, but rather which software can protect your system.
Because eventually you will get hit no matter how good the detection rate.
From the website…
“We require the products tested in Proactive Security Challenge to prevent data and identity theft. They should also implement a packet filter functionality to prevent direct online attacks – i.e. not to let the malware get in. The products should control the software installed on the computer to prevent the malware to integrate itself into the operating system. Then the malware should not be able to get the user’s private data, thus anti-sniffing, anti-keylogging and personal data protection features should be implemented too. And even if the malware succeeded to collect the information it should not be allowed to send it outside the protected system and this means an implementation of the outbound network traffic control.” etc etc.
Soon after using CIS (with its sandbox) I discoverd SandboxIE, and I now run all my internet-facing programs inside SandboxIE.

this explains to a level…people are being sold a “cleaning” product as a protection product!
We truly have invented a real mass product Protection Product! And you know what it protects you It has a new way of protecting you! Old ways of protecting (well cleaning…after infection) and the tools to measure these old ways are simply old and not applicable to new ways of protection!
Hello.
Above is a link to a review of comodo internet security v5.
Its an excellent video showing the power of the comodo anti-virus.
Ben the reviewer is a user himself and an excellent tester as well.
I hope forum members enjoy just as much as i did and shows why i personally stick with comodo.
It’s the first time I see a review of one of the top non mainstream products (CIS, Online Armor etc.) where the FW/HIPS components don’t show up.
I just don’t buy it.
Ben the reviewer is a comodo user himself and has it installed on his host machine.
I did request he review the latest version and he kindly agreed.
He is an excellent tester and reviewer and always gives an honest and reliable review.
Regards.
