Comodo Chromodo 42 is now available for download.

I notice the download page hasn’t been updated yet, it still points to the old version on cnet

download takes you here

Yes, necessary actions were taken. This will be fixed very soon.

Thank you. I have given the link at the beginning of this thread to my friends who need to circumvent the issue I raised earlier with not being able to acknowledge the new agreement as it’s not visible anywhere.

For anyone interested, the ‘Clear at Exit’ function is intended to be added in future releases.

In the mean time, this functionality can be achieved using an extension like the one in the link below.

Hi Nige_39,
Ctrl+Shift+N is active, a list of keyboard and mouse shortcuts in the link below.

Kind regards.

Hi,

Could you please check the User Access Control is disabled or not? This setting affects you to see the agreement.

Hi Captainsticks,

Many thanks for letting me know the information and the Short-cuts.

So Basically you are trying to convert me from Opera to Comodo Chromodo

Well let me think about it :-La ;D

(Update) as of 8:23 pm UK. I am going to stick with Opera

Many thanks 4 feedback

Nigel

Thanks for the update.
I am an old loyal Comodo Dragon user so I am waiting an update for this. :-TU

Thanks for the update. However, the program crashes at startup. I have tried with a blank profile and even uninstalled then reinstalled, to no avail.

System is Windows 8.1 OEM French x64 with BitDefender Total Security 2015. I could not find how to disable the AV. Browser ran fine in version 37. I also tried removing the new crx extensions, and all locales besides en-US.pak, with no effect alas.
Please help!

Hi and welcome mike1212,
Another user had issues with Chromodo when BD was active.
The problem does differ to that of yours, but could still be related.
Nothing but blank tabs on Multiple Installs (even settings)

Kind regards.

Thanks for the head up captainsticks

I have tried running with --no-sandbox and bitdefender’s active virus control turned off, with the same outcome: chromodo crashes before even displaying the main window (i.e. not even tabs are shown).

I tried adding --no-gpu-sandbox and downgrading the Intel Graphics HD driver to 10.18.10.3282 (down from 10.18.14.4170); no change.

when I open a task manager, there are only 2 to 3 instances of chromodo running.
No issue with RAM amount either I think; 20% commit charge and ca. 54% physical usage out of 4 GB.

Thanks, I just installed Chromodo … I have no problem so far, it runs smoothly

One thing, Chromodo wasn’t detected by CCleaner, I wonder why. All Chromium based browsers I used before Chromodo, including Comodo Dragon and Chromium are detected as “Chrome” by CCleaner but not Chromodo.

I reported it to Piriform, they are working on it in my opinion.
following new releases will have the Chromodo cleaning support

Hi,

I don’t use search engines like Google, Bing etc. I’m using Duck Duck Go. Is there any way to add an DDG search bar, like Bing or Google on the speed dial page?

thanks

I have Bitdefender installed and I run Chromodo just fine.

Can you please try this

Please try the steps, it works on my Comodo Dragon perfectly. :-TU

I just received an update to 42.1.2.90 through the updater. The link in the topic start also provides 42.1.2.90 now.

great!
thanks

Hi mike1212,
What is your system DPI settings?

Thanks.

UAC is On on my Windows 7 laptop and PC at work and set to Default. On a Windows 8.1 laptop with the same issue UAC was also on. Two of the other computers were Windows XP which I don’t think has UAC and one was Server 2003. On every one I have had to download from the link on here and update manually. I tell a lie I did see the agreement and accept it on one computer but I could not tell you which since I had 8 computers to sort it out on. I still ended up reinstalling manually on the one I saw the agreement on to try to circumvent the login issue. I have still got 2 x server 2003 boxes to do.

The Login issue. You are asked to relogin, you do so and it asks you to relogin again. The only way round this bug is to disconnect your login and login again from scratch.
