Why does Comodo 2.4.18.184 under XP Pro access my hard drive when the computer is just sitting there not being used? I spent an hour using SysInternals Autoruns first disabling all start up items and then re-enabling them slowly.
I found that once I enable Comodo and all of its pieces my computer’s hard drive activity light flashes approx every few seconds?

Firstly, have you created a Trusted network using the wizard in the firewall settings?
Also, your problem may be partly due to the logging carried out by the Firewall.
The easiest way around this is to make the log file itself read only - a useful discovery by Soya.
Log Files usually at: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\Comodo\Personal Firewall\Logs
Right click the file and make it read only. This drastically reduces the drain on your system in most cases. Worked for me and many others.
