I haven’t had this problem before. I’m running Pro v.3 and when I restart my modem (2wire modem via the internet not powering off) all the lights go on but there’s no connnection. The first time, I shut off the modem for a few minutes then plugged the power source back and it worked but that defeats the purpose. The second time I shut down Comodo after which I had my internet connection so I know it’s Comodo.
I haven’t altered my settings so I don’t know what the cause is, what can I do to prevent it from happening again?
I’m not sure that I understand what is happening, as CFP does not interact with any modem. Which model of 2wire modem do you have? Since CFP seems to be doing something, have you looked at the CFP log (Firewall → Common Tasks, View Firewall Events)? If you aren’t sure of anything in the log, you can export the log to a file, and post that file here.
In addition to grue155, go to FIREWALL>COMMON TASK>MY NETWORK ZONES then REMOVE all that you will found inside my Network Zones and Hit Apply then RESTART your Pc and check if CFP3 detects 2WIRE. If yes, then hit Ok and run your browser. Inform us if you can connect to the Web.
I removed everything inside network zones but decided to restart my modem to see if it did anything and I was connected normally so it appears that the problem went away or removing that worked. Either way, I’m satisfied. I will do as you suggested if it happens again. Thanks for your help, both of you. It’s greatly appreciated.
