Comodo blocking process created by Samsung SSD Magician software

I get Defense+ alerts related to a Samsung Magician related executable called zip.exe. These alerts only started to pop up since yesterday. I have no idea as to why since I haven’t changed any settings in Comodo.

I’ve already submitted the file to Comodo via the Unrecognized Files menu in Settings.

Here’s the alerts:

2013-09-06 12:56:32 C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung Magician\Samsung Magician.exe Create Process C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung Magician\zip.exe

2013-09-06 12:56:31 C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung Magician\zip.exe Sandboxed As Partially Limited

As a result Samsung Magician says it fails to load properly.

Could be the cloud or some other issues… Are you using version 6?

Try for now this option:

Open the CIS/Advanced settings/Security settings/Def+/HIPS/Behavior Blocker/Tick ‘define exceptions for behavior blocking’/Add the file/folder (Samsung Magician/zip.exe)

Yes, I am using version 6.

I’ve done that. Cheers. I did manage to allow it via either the popup alerts or some shortcut link in the logs view. I think it added a custom ruleset for Samsung Magician so it could execute zip.exe
