Comodo Backup email notification problem

I just install the Comodo Backup 2.2.127000.12.

I can’t send a email notification.

When i use the “send test message” button a pop up says "message sent successful

But no mail reach the destination.

I used gmail and my internet service provider mail settings, no one worked.

Other thing is that you can’t set the smtp port. I used smtp.gmail.com:465 but didn’t work.

Hi

There are some issues with gmail SMTP server.
We will fix the problem in the next release and we will add custom port for emailing.

Thanks

I am experiencing the same issue with other SMTP accounts , Please can you advice on which outgoing SMTP server accout that worked

Thanks

Thank you !!!

The Comodo Backup is really a good and usefull software.

I hope that the mail problem will be fix in the next realase.

I’ve been testing Comodo Backup and have found the email has issues as well. It appears that CB is sending bad commands to the smtp server. Maybe this will help in troubleshooting – my mail server’s log of communication from CB:

Is there already a schedule of when the next release comes
out mid to resolve this error?

Thank you for this great software! :-TU :-TU

I’ve had the same problem with my mail server. I does work if I turn off SMTP authetication but that just isn’t an option. My mail server does work from any email client I use with same user. I use hmailserver with the latest release.

This is a log of a Comodo Backup notification attempt. Maybe it will help resolve this issue.

The issue will be fixed in the next release.
Most likely, the release will come next month.

Hello,

I am seeing the same problem with notification e-mails not being delivered in 3.0.171317.130

Could anyone confirm that this bug has been fixed or not?

Thanks!

Please fill the Username and Password fields with some dummy values.
This issue will be fixed in the next release.

Hello again,

In my case both username and password are already populated. I am using smtp.live.com

My settings are:

SMTP: smtp.live.com
Port: 587
Subject: test
From: @hotmail.com
To: @hotmail.com
Username: @hotmail.com
Password: <my_hotmail_password>
Use SSL is off

When I use the “Send test message”, a pop up says “Message sent successful”, bu no mail reach the destination.

Any suggestions how to make this work?

Thanks!
