Comodo Bacikup Starts, but No Progress

I just installed my Comodo about a week or so ago. I have tried several times to set it up and run a back up. I get the message that the backup has started, but then there is never any progress. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows XP Home Edition, if that helps. Also, I am backing up to an external drive (FreeAgent).

Hi Lisa

Welcome to the Comodo forum

Can you tell me which version of Comodo Backup you have installed and post screenshots of your settings if possible. Also are you attempting to run a scheduled backup or a manual backup?

John

My version is 1.0.4.337. I can’t seem to get my print screen to work to attach so you can see my settings. I thought it was pretty basic, just a backup of my C drive to my F drive, simple copy. I tried again to run it and actually hit run this time, which I didn’t realize I had to do before since it said it had started! The icon appeared in my tray and seemed to be active, but still nothing in the log.

On your edit screen of your backup make sure that “active backup” is checked.
If you want to schedule the backup “service backup” type must be chosen.
Under destination choose “local disk, network disk and so on”.
Check “Create Destination folder if it does not exist”.
Under option check “Full backup”.
That should about do it. Let me know if you get it working.
