I can’t install my epson 915 printer with comodo running… it says it has a backdoor trojan and then quaratines it… I redownloaded the driver software from epson and it still does the same… I then disabled comodo scanner installed the printer drivers and then reactivated the scanner and tried to print a document… again it comes up with a backdoor trojan and quaratines it… rendering my printer useless… all my previous AV software doesn’t do this… any ideas thanks
This may be false positive. You can exclude this file from scanning and then it willl not be detected. Also submit this file using “submit suspected file” option in CAV for further analysis and fixing.
To exclude files/folders from scanning, do the followings
1.Go to main window->Settings->On Demand->Advanced->What items to exclude->Select. Then selects files/folders to exclude from scanning.
2.Go to main window->Settings->On Access->Advanced->What items to exclude->Select. Then selects files/folders to exclude from scanning.
To submit the file:
Go to main window-> Quarantine-> Submit Suspected files-> Submit Files. There, user may write reason for submitting the files and can provide email address if he wants feedback from research lab.
