I think it’s misleading that Comodo say that you are protected online with Comodo AV… You are not… Firewall and DEF + yes but that’s the system protection so is AV… I tried many AV’s such as Avast, ESET, ect, such AV’s detect and protect online. But Comodo AV only protect once malware gets inside the system. So in browser attacks, poisoned good pics and other things Comodo AV does not protect you even with the high settings… It only protects once this online malware try to infect your system… Also I downloaded few PC tests and Comodo didn’t scanned them only when I scanned them myself Comodo warned me while say ESET blocked before they even got a chance to get on my system… I know that Comodo don’t have URL filter but I hope they will have it in ver 6…
Don’t get me wrong Comodo is a rock solid protection with Firewall and DEF+ by itself even without AV… Just wanted to stress protection online…
you don’t seem to understand how comodo works. The AV protects the ram and hard drive. Nothing else is needed. Is something is displayed on your computer screen like a webpage it has already hit the ram and the hard drive. The only way to protect against threats from not coming on your computer to start out with is a hard ware firewall with a black list or DNS servers. The others who offer a webshild don’t actually do anything else then comodo does. They still stop the threat in memory or the hard drive.
Maybe not I don’t claim to be an expert… But what about worms if you can’t stop it online your system is at risk but maybe not with DEF+… So URL filter and web shield not even slightly better? That can’t be right… Anyway I wanted to see what somebody had to say about it… Now I understand… Thanks
webshild and url filter still have to ping the website and if it does not know it is a bad website you can still run into trouble.
