Hello, today CIS asked me to update it. I clicked a link in the popup message window offering to read details about the upfate and it sent me to the release page: http://downloads.comodo.com/cis/download/updates/release/inis_1800/release_notes.html
I have read some in that page, and when I closed the browser, the popup window offering me to update Comodo was gone.
After that, I opened Comodo main window, I went to seach for updates, but it tells me that the product is already updated!
what’s happening???
It’s not the first time It happens to me, I remember I had the same situation in the past.
What version of CIS are you using? When using 5.10.228257.2253 there is no newer update.
Yes, it’s version 5.10.228257.2253.
But it seems to me that clicking in the “read details about the update” link (or something like that) of the message that Comodo displays, it applies the update like if the “OK” button was clicked.
And it is very confusing.
Comodo will also use the program updater to check for updates for the Trusted Software Vendor list. In that case you will see the updater shield for no more than 4 or 5 seconds. When clicking on the shield it will tell there is an update where in fact there isn’t one. That is confusing.
