what’s the AV database version you have in About box?
It is version 28711
Tested same v6526 on XP SP3, don’t see any problem in general.
So looks like system specific issue.
May you please share snapshot of following folder?
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Comodo\Cis\wpTemp\cavsedb\
folder attached as requested
Can you please try to delete these and run update again?
still get signature updates error. Should I now copy them back to folder ?

I am not sure what has happened, but my Comodo has just updated for the first time in about 3 weeks and Windows is no longer showing error. Is it due to something that Comodo has done ? I would like to know in case the problem reoccurs
