today i downloaded the latest version of comodo internet security .509. its an excellent software and so i wanted to try it again. before installing it i uninstalled my current security setup and cleaned the registry, disk and privacy with comodo system cleaner. installed and updated comodo. no threatcast tab here. to get the threatcast tab and threatcast to work, tried the troubleshoot for threatcast mentioned in the forum by the devs and mods. but nothing worked. no threatcast tab here. tried to scan my computer with default settings. i was shocked coz comodo continously scanned the system twice and took 80 mins. and found 6 threats. as comodo continously scanned the system twice it means actually it scanned the system in 40 mins. and found 3 threats. (when i clicked on results the actual 3 threats found were twice in the results).
whats the prob?? what should i do??

That’s most unusual behavior. What I would try first is to uninstall CIS and then try reinstalling it again to see if this eliminates the problem or whether the scanning behavior is still the same. I don’t think i would even bother with cleaning the registry, just uninstall and then reinstall and see what happens.
ok uninstall CIS, cleaned registry, disk and privacy with CSC and installed CIS. prob solved except threatcast. now threatcast tab is there but it doesn’t shows ratings. i checked with superantispyware, nokia pc suite and foxit reader and threatcast showed threatcast not available. i think still the devs haven’t solved the threatcast prob. threatcast is a useless feature if its not working. i think there should be local database for threatcast like in drivesentry. i think this way it will work. its not working in the current way. the dev must solve the threatcast prob coz threatcast really is a helpful feature for average users. what should i do to get threatcast ratings. here too there are 5 average users on this system.

today threatcast has started working and showing ratings. lets wait and watch it keeps working or not. for few softwares like nokia pc suite and roxio it showed app. 32 and 53 observations and softwares like broadcom and dell support it showed very few observations app. 4 and 6. but atleast it has started working. lets see for few days.

today again its not showing any ratings. there is some probs with threatcast and the devs should look into it.
