comodo and windows firewall

I’ve noticed that comodo doesn’t disable the windows firewall. Is it necessary to disable it?
I haven’t experienced any conflicts.

Also, after setting up a sql server on my pc, i noticed that windows firewall was blocking tcp port 1433 and needed a rule to open it.
Comodo, on the other hand didn’t bother me at all. Wasn’t it supposed to block that port?

what are you running?
Comodo turned off Windows Firewall when I installed it on a Windows 7 machine.

I’m running windows 7 (64bit).

Depending on your Global Rules you may not get alerted for incoming traffic. When the Global Rules are set to Stealth setting you will have to open a port for incoming traffic by making a rule in Global Rules.
