Hi,
I had firewall version 3.14 and I was happy with it. Comodo asked me permission to update itself. I did it and it updated to v4.19. After installation, a message popped up:
cmdinstall.exe - Application Error “The instruction at “0x7c80dood” referenced memory at “0x7e8561e8”.
The memory could not be “read”. Click OK to terminate the program”
I went to the forum and got to Chiron post “Upgrading to the Newest Version of CIS - what to do if you have difficulties”. Followed instructions to uninstall using Revo Uninstaller, downloaded the last version 5.01 and installed it.
Just before the end of the installation there was an error message regarding some .cfg file also asking to hit OK to continue. I did it and after restarting the PC the cmdinstall.exe message appears again like before.
I am not sure if the firewall is working fine or not however this message is really annoying and I suspect that something is rotten in the kingdom of this CIS new versions with my XP PC.
Any help please?
