Cmd prompt tip for Vista/7

If you use the windows cmd prompt a lot i found this little tip today which may be useful to some. It definately works on 7 so i would think Vista as well (can`t be bothered booting up the XP machine)

If you have done quite a few actions and need to use some again just hit F7 and a list of all the actions appears. Now use the up/down arrows to select the required one and hit Enter. It only stays for the session, once you close cmd you have to start again…

Such a behavior is also documented in xp:

but i am afraid that real Dos or Dos emulation commands won’t interest so many people, and are nowadays felt by a large majority of users (assuming they even know their existence) to be as useful in “modern” computing then the Rosetta stone in today’s egyptian language.
