Clound Scanning and Trusted Software Vendor list

First I just want to say that I like the Trusted Software Vendor list but I only trust 2 vendors: Comodo itself and Microsoft.

When upgraded to CISv5 I found that the Trusted Software Vendor list kept adding entries by itself. I did not want to keep deleting these manually, so I asked on the forum about this.

I was told to turn off all Cloud-based Scanning options to stop this behaviour.

I am just wondering if that is correct, or there are some cloud scanning options which can be left on but won’t cause the Trusted Software Vendor list to update itself?

Here is the list of items:

Antivirus → Virus Scanner Settings → Manual Scanning → Enable Cloud Scanning
Antivirus → Virus Scanner Settings → Scheduled Scanning → Enable Cloud Scanning

Defense+ → Defense+ Settings → Execution Control Settings → Perform cloud based behaviour analysis of unrecognised files
Defense+ → Defense+ Settings → Execution Control Settings → Automatically scan unrecognized files in the cloud

At the moment I have all these options disabled.

Are there any which I can enable which won’t cause the Trusted Software Vendors list to update itself?

I don’t believe so, currently. I also wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for such functionality. Some of us have been asking for Comodo to add some type of functionality where users could opt-out of Comodo’s additions to the trusted vendor list for years.
