Some do abuse opportunities that other people who legitimately need are affected. Will wait and in the meantime try to learn more about CISv5.

Admittedly I’m a newbie on the forums, too. There are those of us, who because of current situations, don’t have the money to pay for what we normally would. And the people that take advantage just because they can ruin it for everyone.
I will readily admit I came in search of a year’s key. I also up to this point have been able to pay for the software I use. Now I’ve been running freeware and it’s doing okay, but I like the pay versions because of better flexibility and support.
I shall wait patiently, as no one should demand generosity from a company. And they shouldn’t get mad when a company tries to protect not only itself, but its customers, paying and non-paying.
Thanks Comodo for even making the opportunity available in the first place. Never saw Norton, or McAfee doing anything like this…

Hmmm , I’ve thought that we All in Comodo forum agreed that language here have to be professional - not agressive. I be able to respect it , other why not?

Are you serious? You object to degenerates and bunch of idiots. Those who lie to take advantage of a person or a company fall into those very categories. As a CIS.fan you should be offended by their actions not a moderator who puts correct terms to them. Or maybe the moderator hit too close to home for you and he hurt your self-image.
Some of the writers probably didn’t notice that CIS free is a full version.
The paid support options are therefore not a security option, and even assuming that Comodo would have some obligation to provide paid products for free to everyone in the world, there would be therein no security concern whatsoever: people subscribing to these options, paid or not, are acquiring luxury, not necessity.
Comodo has no means whatsoever but the declarations of people themselves that they can or cannot afford something, making as said elsewhere this offer to fail because a lot of people have no need for it or actually could pay for it, but pretend they can’t.
We should also note that all of these same people can afford paying a computer and an internet connection, if not they would not be able to ask, and that probably a significative proportion of these people also have expensive smartphones and/or tablets and their expensive connection fees (i don’t).
Most of us have to make some choices when speaking of money, but it is probably not fair to revendicate, in a general situation, things that are not relevant of any necessity.
I could myself pay for these services if i wanted to, but i do not, and i don’t agree that some people absolutely want to acquire something of which they have no use for the only reason that it could be free:
even without making a polemic with four letter words, this kind of game, when it is only the game of not paying what one is supposed to pay, is indeed very contemptable.
And no, i am whatever you want to call me, but not one of the usual “fanboys”, Comodo does not deserve such a polemic, even if its choice had been to offer a limited number of licenses: ask yourself actually how many software editors do that when speaking of “premium” options not changing for a single item the software performance itself?

I felt injured Your lack of intellect and Your lack of Culture. I am well-bred and I know how to talk or discuss with people Courteously. Thank You for reminding me how to quote , but ther is no point here. This is not a problem that we are talking about. There is discussion about it that some forum members are lowbred and very rude. And that is so sad …

Without making a scientific statistical work, everybody has noted that almost every person asking for a key does it as its first, and often unique post.
Still on a scientific basis, it does not strictly means that these persons have tried CIS free version before asking for the paid options, it nevertheless raises strong suspiscions about persons asking something without even having tested what is available for free, and would disqualify such requests.
What is “cis.fan” (or his previous pseudo, no one is in these conditions able to understand anything) complaining about?
It seems that it relates to the fact that his request for a key (of which he assumes with some arrogance it would automatically have been granted) has been made some 3 hours before the relevant topic has been locked due to the discontinuation of the said offer.
On can argue until the end of the world that Comodo would have been more elegant considering requests preceeding, even of 3 hours, this announcement, altough no one can pretend with absolute certitude that it did not.
But, reading the various EULA, Comodo keeps the right of continuing or discontinuing whatever part of its softwares under its sole discretion.
If you want to sue Comodo on this behalf, cis.fan, go ahead, and you most surely shall lose, but even if you do so, this forum is not the place to discuss whatever trial, even if it had whatever chance to succeed.
Waiting for it, and even if reading some irritation of some writers for being flooded with the same request assimilated to a right again and again, no one but you was “rude” and “lowbred” in trying to make a PhD Thesis of a dirty, if not cheating, at least money story, and no one but you said while pretending to be “courteous” others were morons (“lack of intellect”, “lack of culture”), as if either of these qualities were yours or needed to participate in a forum, not an Ivy League newsgroup:

If anything is rude, it is you telling us we are rude. Additionally, telling us about our “lack of intellect” and “lack of Culture”, and how you “know how to talk or discuss with people Courteously” makes me think someone (I don’t know who) has a very high opinion of himself.
I will admit to being a few (or more) of those things you mentioned, but I think some of those descriptions could also fit a certain member I’ve noticed. Definitely not our high-bred companion, of course.
Anyway, I think the degenerate spammers don’t care a bit what SiberLynx says about them. I don’t see much problem in stating the (ugly?) truth about someone’s actions, especially if they don’t care.

By the way, CIS forum admits speaking about “low intellect” and “low-bred” (why do you speak of dogs, LaserWraith, my little Shih-Tzu presently sleeping on my knees is very clever, some proof is that she seems not to give a sh… about what’s being written…), while when i wrote moron*s (“low intellect”, “low culture”, schematically speaking all of us), it was rewritten to “hunks”.
Should we be the one to remain calm (and we actually do) when being treated of, how does CIS call that, “hunks”?
The reason I mentioned dogs is because I only hear the word “breed”/“bred”/“breeding” on a dog show.
