Cleaning Essentials Killswitch Clone?.

:o Hi Guys what do you think about this i found on Wilders?. its free and It appears to be a Cleaning Essentials, Killswitch clone,or is it the other way round… >:-D UVK - Ultra Virus Killer

It has 3 scanners Malwarebytes…Superantispyware…and Hitmanpro. Here is the interesting bit.Hitmanpro can delete malware found.Cleaning Essentials Scanner.Cavs, can check the whole pc and the other scanners mentioned apparently scan mainly executables, and I thought you had to purchase Hitmanpro in order to remove malware .Anyone care to comment.

Edit… Here is some more to get your teeth into… http://www.carifred.com/uvk/help/welcome_screen.png

It doesn’t actually say that MBAM or Hitman Pro do the deletions. It says they scan.

I think, but am not certain, that UVK reads the results of the scans and UVK removes the malware objects reported in the scans.

do they have a “safelist” capability to show you only what is not “safe”?

??? Hello Melih. I have had a look at the app in more detail and cant seem to find anything that states you can remove the safelist and leave whats not safe visible…very very handy in Cleaning Essentials/Killswitch, can anyone say otherwise regards This UVK application?.

On another note, i have Cleaning Essentials/Killswitch in my armoury but up to now its been redundant exept in my tests as i have never ben infected since installing Cis! ;D.

Edit…Best pass on how effective Killswitch is to Norton Users…They just might need it more than Cis Users!!. >:-D

I was doing a little research on UVK ,and ran across a site with a video walk through of the app. This Tube site freaking rocks. Very educational and useful real world information for fighting malware. check out the video for an app called D7 also.

Britec09 - YouTube ;D

I would have seriously paid a small fee to learn the info on this site. One video even shows you how defeat a new rouge antivirus with nothing more than process explorer.

I think its for all AV providers out there…they all use blacklisting as first line of defense which is “GUARANTEED” to fail.
