1. What actually happened or you saw:
After Comodo CIS install, Windows firewall is still enabled in Win 10 (and I think Win 8 too). It’s believed that running two firewalls is bad but Comodo does not mentioned anything in its UI about disabling Windows Firewall.
2. What you wanted to happen or see:
It would be good to have Comodo UI indicate whether users need to worry about Windows Firewall during / after the install of Comodo Firewall. If manual steps are required for users (e.g. to disable Windows Firewall), please provide them as well in the UI. Also, if a running Comodo Firewall later detects Windows Firewall still being on (incorrectly), e.g. because Windows update re-enabled it, a reminder popup would be nice to turn it off with instructions.
Finally, it would be good if documentation had this highlighted somewhere.
(Similar wish-list probably applies to Comodo Anti-Virus component vs Windows Defender.)
3. Why you think it is desirable:
So that end-users run Comodo in recommended configuration - either with Windows Firewall enabled, or having it disabled following the correct Comodo-recommended way. This will also help Comodo in debugging less issues related to Windows Firewall state being different from what Comodo recommends.
