I am running CIS V6 on Win 7 SP1 64 bit. Yesterday (31 Jan) when the new program update arrived I got the program update notification and the whole computer froze and required a power off. I was going to work so did not have time to do anything. The same thing happened again later in the day when I was not here. After installing the update I have had no further problems.
The crash was related to cmdagent and reported in the windows error log see attachment.
It was running as a limited user when it froze and the only special thing I have is I use applocker to prevent program execution by limited users.
CIS config attached.

Thank you very much for your issue report.
We would very much appreciate it if you would be kind enough to edit your report to put it in the standard format and add any additional information requested, as this will make it much easier for the developers to diagnose and fix the problem.
The reasons we need all the information in the format, though they may not seem directly relevant to the issue are explained here.
If you are able to do this we will forward this post to the format verified board, where it is more likely to get looked at by developers. You can find assistance using red links in the format and here. If you need further help please ask a mod. If you do not add the information after a day or two we will forward this post to the non-format board. If this happens we will tell you how to rectify this if you wish to.
In the current process we will normally leave it up to you whether you want to make a report in standard format or not. However we may remind you if we think a bug of particular importance.
Many thanks again
I think this was a coincidence that this happened on the same day the update come out. It has frozen my PC again a few time. The whole PC freezes and nothing responds so the only action is the power button. Each time it has been cmdagend crashing.
I have has this a few more times and now with the new 6.2 version. It has always been when the computer has been on for a while but with no obvious trigger. From the event log:
Faulting application name: cmdagent.exe, version: 6.1.13008.2801, time stamp: 0x516c3809
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0000000000000000
Faulting process id: 0x368
Faulting application start time: 0x01ce3e5e44c32b10
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\cmdagent.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: 2d702024-aa6f-11e2-98ee-005056c00008
This was a fresh install of 6.1.13008.2801 on Windows 7 64 bit.
Other security software:
- Applocker with exe and DLL rules
- EMET 3.0
Each time the computer freezes and the only option is the power button. No dump files produces in windows or CIS.
Thanks very much, tracker updated
Happened again. It is rare and random but the only option is the off button.
Windows 7 64 bit. Running Applocker and EMET but no other security software. Details of CIS, Applocker, EMET and CIS attached.
I am still not able to run sandbox or virtual kiosk due to Applocker conflict so this may be connected, but I have all sandboxing turned off.
