CIS Stops Working when Most Buttons are Clicked

I also have a desktop that I have downloaded the newest CIS to, but the CIS won’t let me set parameters or change anything except for updates and running the software to look for viruses and malware. When I click on the parameter other than the two that work, a larger blue circle goes round and round for about 30 to 40 seconds and then a box pops up stating the program has quit working and windows is closing the program. I think I am protected, but I sure would like to adjust the other parameters.

I have an Intel mother board with an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz, 4 GB of RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I have upgraded several other computers with no problem (except for the laptop in another thread) and the CIS works as advertised.

Again, any ideas?

Run a diagnostic report and attach to your post. If you can’t then follow this guide to do a clean uninstall and try installing again.
