CIS Startup Delayed

Upon logging in to my Windows 7 system, the CIS icon in the notification area of the taskbar often takes about 30 seconds to appear, and I’m concerned that my system is unprotected for that period of time. So, I have two questions:

  1. Is my system, in fact, unprotected until the CIS icon appears in the notification area of the taskbar, or is my concern misplaced?

  2. Do you have any tips on how to make CIS load faster? Perhaps by using MSConfig.exe to modify the startup sequence…

The protection is done by cmdagent.exe which starts very early in the Windows boot process. You are already protected before you will see the desktop emerge. In short: there is nothing to worry about nor nothing needs to be done to the start up sequence.
